“There’s some evidence that, at times, sleep talking may be related to dreams, but this is not always the case,” Most dreams happen when you’re in the deep, rapid eye movement (REM) phase of sleep. But sleep talking can occur during any sleep stage, including REM and non-REM sleep. Sleep talking might also remain associated with other parasomnias, such as sleepwalking or sleep, terrors.
How to Stop Sleep Talking
Since it’s hard to pinpoint what causes sleep talking, there aren’t any science-based ways to stop it.

What is Somniloquy?
Somniloquy, also recognize as sleep talking, is a sleep disorder branding by unconscious or unintentional talk. Somniloquy is a type of parasomnia, usually irrepressible such as teeth grinding or sleepwalking. It occurs equally in males and females; in some cases, it may be hereditary. Somniloquy usually occurs in the dominant verbal of the individual.
Sleep talk is thought normal for children after a playful day and adults after an eventful or stressful day. Though sleep talk occurs in good individuals, it can also be associated with an illness such as sleep apnea, night terrors, chronic headache, and factors like emotional stress and nightmares also spark it.
What are the Symptoms of a Somniloquy?
The chief symptom of sleep talking is an audible expression, with the person unaware of it. The speech during sleep speaking could be understandable, incomprehensible, loud, brief, or long – it varies among individuals, and most of the time, the individual does not remember saying anything. It remains reported that 50 per cent of recorded sleep talking is unintelligible. The entire episode may include only a handful of words or incomplete sentences.
